When did you get your first camera, and what kind of camera was that? My first camera was a Nikon D50 I bought while studying media - I originally wanted to be a web or graphic designer but got interested in photography after having a class on it at school. And it really did seem a lot more fun than sitting inside and coding websites all day.
Where does the fascination for shooting fashion come from ? I kind of fell into doing fashion photography by accident as well. Originally I wanted to shoot advertising images, but it was hard getting into and I ended up doing model tests for agencies, and I really started enjoying the collaborative way of working in fashion. Another thing I really like about fashion is that it’s a intersection between art and commercial more than any other genre of photography.

What was the first picture you got published and where? SVA Magazine #6 is the first editorial story I had published in a print magazine.
What makes a great photo? And what makes not. Technical things aside, for me a good photograph is something that looks like a genuine moment even if its a photo taken in a studio or its staged.

What is style for you? I do think for me style isn’t about the clothes you wear necessarily, its more of a personality trait and it’s really hard to define.

What inspires you the most? The people I collaborate with, the spaces and light we shoot in.

Whats your highlight in your carrier so far? It’s really hard to pinpoint one specific thing, since it changes often. Having images in Nylon was really cool, having my first billboard last year was also a milestone (although I never got to see it myself since it was in Sweden) and having W Magazine premiere on the music video I did with Anna of the Northe was also very exciting and worth mentioning.

Any personal favorites to photograph right now? I work with many different models and you know I try to not shoot the same ones every time because a new look and person can be very inspiring. But I do really like to take these low key and intimate portraits of my girlfriend, which inspires me a lot and I hope to incorporate that kind of look into my work this year. My girlfriend Samira
