Vintage Geek Cheek
Born in the 1970s, designer Alessandro Michele brought out old school Italian looks for Gucci spring 2016 collection. Michele told Vogue.com that the whole point is to express personality and emotions trough his clothes telling that “fashion is close to tenderness”. He also said that he has been thinking about the Renaissance and the 1970s for the collection, bringing Italian vintage vibes to the runway.
Interviewed by Vogue, the American artist Rachel Feinstein described the collection as deep and beautiful “Its like a happy goth” she said. “It exemplifies the perfection of Italian craftsmanship that doesn’t exist anymore. Everything is made impeccably”.
