David Bowie, Kate Moss, The Beatles, Sean Connery, Andrey Hepburn, Elvis, Elton John and Faye Dunaway. Terry O´Neill has photographed them all. His most iconic image hangs permanently in The National Portrait Gallery. Thursday this week the legend will open his Exhibition Iconic in Oslo. Here are a few of our favorites and the history behind.

When: 21. jan-7.februar 2016. Opens Thursday 21 of january, and Terry O´Neill will be in Oslo for the opening.
One of his first assigment as a photographer was to shoot The Beatles on Abbey Road, the week after he met The Rolling Stones. Now Terry is a living legend himself after photographing the decades showbis elite and documenting the fashions, style and celebrities of the 1960s, 70s and 80s.
David Bowie - Diamond Dogs - Taken as a publicity shoot for Diamond Dogs, Terry started to shoot with the dog sitting quietly besides Bowie. But suddenly the great Dane got overexcited and reared six feet into the air barking madly.
Brigitte Bardot with cigar- "When the time came, I only had one frame left-one shot at it. But suddently the wind swept her hair across her face and it was a knockout.
Kate Moss, London Kate just seem to hypnotize the lens. She can simply put on a blank face and nail the shot.
Faye Dunaway, Los Angeles "No image better captures both the allure and the loneliness of celebrity than this, of his future wife Faye Dunaway, the morning after the night she won her Oscar for Network. - I wanted to capture a look of dazed confusion, the state of utter shock taht oscars winners enter when it dawns on them that their lives and bankability have changes forever.
