We saw her recently at her very own concert at Parkteateret in Oslo, where she played together with what she calls; her music family. We got to experience her new unreleased album, and we were blown away instantly!

The new soulful artist is about to make her own sound relevant and is by far one of the most interesting and unique artists in the Norwegian music industry atm. She is playing at the Norwegian festival, Øya Festivalen this summer and we can’t wait to follow her journey. We talk fashion, style and further plans in this week’s MY STYLE with Nedja!

Tell us a little bit about yourself - I’m a multicultural 21 year old living in the heart of Oslo. I was born in Tunisia, and grew up listening to everything from Reggae to Italian opera. I’m a muslim, red is my favourite colour, and I want to be a musician someday.

Your style is unique, what is style to you? Style is a combination of who you are, and who you’re aspiring to be. It’s not what’s trending, but it’s about what makes you feel at home in your own body. Style is a way of showing different aspects of your own personality.

Where do you collect your inspiration? Music is my main inspiration. Music is connected to everything. Architecture and nature is also two of my main inspirations. I’m very fascinated by shapes and colours. As a source, Instagram has of course become a door opener to see how the global community interprets trends and fashion.

How do you combine your work as an artist with style? Music and style is both two ways to communicate and connect. For me it’s important that my style don’t stop me from being free on stage. No matter my look I’m always comfortable in what I’m wearing. One of my good friends once told me that my stage looks and everyday looks are very similar, because I’m so extra, hahah.

When did your interest in fashion start? I grew up in a family where individuality was highly prioritised. My moms style was this artsy bohemian hippe look, and my dad was rocking gold chains and Levis jeans. Big contrasts. So dressing yourself in way that you love has always been a part of my life. I get my obsession for colours from my mom, and my swag from my dad.

Who’s your fashion icon and why? Honestly I don’t have one. Sorry.

What do you never wear? This is a hard one for me. Several of my items are what others would consider something they’d never wear. You’ll never see me in sneakers that once were white but now aren’t though, I’m kinda ocd like that.

What would your dream outfit be? Colourful tweed Chanel suit ca. 1960s with ears dipped in gold (you can never wear too many earpieces) and some fresh out the box Jordan 13s.

Favourite item in your closet? A yellow vintage blazer with puffy shoulders and colourful buttons. Just writing about it makes me smile.

Top three best dressed musicians? Solange, Rihanna and Jorja Smith.

What is your further plans and ambitions? This summer I will continue to write more music and record. I’m playing at Øya the 9th of August so that’s what I’m working towards right now. My goal is to release my first independent EP this year, which I’m very excited about! Other than that, I just wanna do a lot of shows and have fun.
