Denim never goes out of style. The skinny jeans is still a stayer – but the hottest denim trend for next summer is a pair of patchwork jeans. Editors pick for Spring summer 2016 is this pair of boyfriend jeans from Replay, seen on the catwalk in Mykonos this spring.
Forecaster and London based designer Kelly Harrington believes in boyfriend jeans and patchwork for the next season.
What is the next big thing? Modern Quilting, Patchwork and Padded designs. Knitwear makes a comeback, oversized bold and daring, Kelly says in an interview with Envelope.no.
Ceo at Kaare Lund Agency, Fredrik Lund believes in the comeback of patchwork.
- Skinny and flare jeans is still the most popular jeans, but for next spring we are ready to be more playful. The norwegian customers want their jeans clean, and simple, and Replay Hyperflex is our bestseller. This season we will see more distroyed and ripped jeans, and jeans with patches. The spring/summer collection is hippie-inspired, and the details are interesting, says Fredrik Lund.
Kelly believes in a return and focus on modern craft, a sustainable and honest approach to design and an appreciation of hand made, authentic and traditional items.
Skinny jeans or boyfriends? That's a good question! It's taken a while for me to think about this! My wardrobe contains many of both. Different looks for different occasions, these days I like a ripped boyfriend for everyday. I'm passionate about denim blue and indigo because denim is timeless and never goes out of style. Denim has a huge history, I find this fascinating, says Kelly Harrington. Read the " One to watch" interview here.
