Where to eat lunch in Paris

Who: Racines 2

What: Bistro/Restaurant

Where: 39 Rue de L´ arbre sec, 1st arrondissement. Paris (Les Halles)

When: Opening Hours: 12-14.30, 19.30-22.30

One tattooed chef, an open air kitchen and a small masterpiece of a blackboard menu. This modern french bistro is where you should have your lunch -  When in Paris.

The restaurant in 1st arrondissement is worth a visit if you are in Paris. Racines 2 is more than a classic french bistro, and a perfect spot for a lunch. The Restaurants deco is Scandinavian inspired by Philippe Starck, and the atmosphere is great even before it gets crowded for lunch. There might be a few of the same clients as Costes, but this is not a show off place - youre here for the food, not the other guests.

We had tuna tataki for starter and the puff pastry feuillete with snails, fresh herbs and cream of shallots. The starters are from 13 euro, main from 27 and desserts from 9 Euro.  You might be lucky to get seated if youre only two persons, but we will recommend to book one or two weeks in advance.

Au Revoir!
