Museums – Chrisitan Dior exhibition at Museé des Arts Décoratifs (before January 7th) Not only beautiful dresses, but the music, lightning, graphic design and location is outstanding. Also I always try to make time to go to Louvre. I prefer the paintings from the romantic period and also the section with the greek sculptures from the antiquity era. The Sacré-Coeur Basilica located on top of a hill is amazing. You can literally see all of Paris from this location.
Where to dine – Hôtel Costes is always on my list when I go to Paris. There’s nothing special about the food or the service, but there’s just something about the aura and you can get a lot of outfit inspiration there from both the other guests and the waitresses.
L’avenue on 41 Avenue Montaigne is one of my favorite places for lunch and inspiration.
On the same street you’ll find my favorite hotel in Paris, Hôtel Plaza Atheneé located on 25 Avenue Montaigne. Their dining hall is amazing filled with hundreds of large swarovski crystals hanging from the ceiling and I strongly recommend having breakfast there. If you’re not a breakfast person, try having afternoon tea there instead. At around 4-5 o’clock every day, they have a harpist playing beautiful tones next to the breakfast hall.
Shopping - Avenue Montaigne holds some of the biggest fashion houses, such as Chanel, Dior, Gucci and Versace. Go and soak in all the inspiration you can get in these stores. Dior is my favorite to visit, especially after Maria Grazia Chiuri was the first woman ever to be appointed artistic director for the brand.
On Rue Saint-Honorè you can find everything from Zara to Balenciaga. There are also a lot of nice jewelry and perfume stores there and I recommend popping by and trying different smells and look at the old vintage Cartier and Boucheron jewelry pieces.
What to bring home – I love bringing home scented candles and home fragrances from Hôtel Costes own store. My favorite is the one the hotel uses called ”Parfum d’ambiance brun”. I also stack up on vacuum packed rouge monsieu from Monoprix or Casino. That’s what I call an ideal cheese sandwich.

Lunch at Season in Marais. They have the best chicken/quinoa salad I’ve ever tasted
Shopping – I always go by Colette even though I don’t always shop a lot there. They’re closing their doors soon, so I’m definitly going by during Fashion Week. I also like Le Bon Marche because there are not as many tourists as in other places and they have a lot of nice both big and smaller brands.
