Tell us shortly the "Story" behind C.L.E.A.N

I launched in 2012 under my own name. Since then the brand has become CLEAN. I aim to create a go-to brand where all women can find their wardrobe treasures that will allow them to face the day confidently, no matter mood and duties.

Do you remember the first piece you designed ever?  Yes! It was in elementary school, we were in sewing class supposed to make a backpack. This was back in 96 or 97, so instead of making a regular backpack, I made a mini one because it was so trendy! I was 10 or 11.

- In what way has your background inspired you? Working as a stylist for many years has given me an insight on how garments look on the body, how it will fall differently on different body shapes and most of all, how certain colors, textiles and color combination photograph. Some photograph well, others not. Styling has also given me a chance to create fast, I see the result in a matter of hours, instead of weeks. My background has also introduced me to many great people and has thought me to adapt easily, to work fast paced and to deal with clients in all shapes and sizes. Figuratively speaking.

Tell us about your collaboration with HASLA

We wanted to create a collection that was far away from the minimalistic trend that is so Scandinavian and has been around for so long. Inspiration came from the 80s and 70s in terms of bold colors, organic shapes and intensity. It personally reminds me of the personal jewelry of some fabulous woman that was an adult at that time, collected pieces from all her travels and made herself an eclectic and vibrant collection.

What jewellery do you always wear? I have two wedding rings that I always wear, ( the last one purchased in the same store as the first one, in Montreal, when we went back with more money and could afford a bigger one ), one vintage gold ring from a vintage jewelry shop in Rome, and one thin silver ring on my little-finger that used to be gold plated. I only want to wear gold rings, preferably one on each finger. It's my personal goal!

What piece was the first you made? They were all made at the same time but I designing the rings first and showpieces.

How does your jewellery reflect your personal style? I believe I have a colorful and quite random and unpredictable style. I really don't have a uniform - even though others might say so.

What is style to you? Good style I think personally is a sign of intelligence and it comes and in all forms, mix that with confidence and you have great style!

What trends do you believe in for SS17? More color, more textures, more of everything. I believe in maximalism and random combination.

3 keypieces for fall? Hugh knit sweaters in different colors and textiles. Cut-off jeans/short trousers and dresses. Preferably I a happy mix.

Where do you get your coffe

Edwards at Schouss plass, it's close to my studio, I like cafe Norden for lunch. At the HASLA boutique in Markveien, my online shop, Ensemble in Nordre gate, to name a few.
