Party look Chanel style

Gold, burgundy or red?

What the hottest beaty look this fall, and how to apply the party makeup this season?

Chanel is launching a new make up collection inspired by the black cherry colored nail polish, Rouge Noir. We talked to Chanel Makeup Artist Trine Skjøth and got some tips on how you should apply the party look on this season.

The burgundy nail color saw the light on the runway 20 years ago, and has been an it-color ever since. With the party season in mind, Chanel mixed soft and golden colors with dark, black -red. Creating an intense party look.

– This is a collection that fit everyone no matter the eye color. It is about play and having fun with the colors, says Skjøth.

Envelope got some tips from the Danish makeup artist on how to apply your party look on this season:

Gloss your eyes- Adding some dark lip-gloss on top of your eye shadow can really do the trick as it catches the light and reflects it back. Apply just a little bit on top of the globe and on the wet line, and whola! – Your ready to party.

Use your hands - The heat from your hands will warm up the foundation making it easier to work with. When blending your eye make up, using your fingers can be jus as good as using a brush.

– Everything you do, you can do with your fingers. I like the organic approach and the easiness behind it, says Skjøth

Add water - Gold is a party favorite, but is color that can be hard to work with. By adding a little water to the gold you will get more metallic color, creating an intense look.

Prep your skin – Some tend to get dry skin during the wintertime and that’s why it is important to use a good moisturizer before applying your make up. Using a face mist is also a good way to refresh your face during the day.

– I always keep my face mist in the fridge. In that way it really freshens up my face, says Skjøth.
