What trend do we need to look out for in 2017?

I think the weird, oversized, upside down, inside out, arms way too long, pants on your head and shirt taped to your back-thing will last for all of 2017 too. Apart from that I hope to see even more menswear for women. I love that stuff!

What colors do you think will be trendy for 2017?

Can I say black? I just don’t want to be flat out wrong! ;)

What do you look forward to?

For the fashion year of 2017 I look very much forward to Oslo Runway. Also, the fashion media landscape is changing, and I am curious to see what changes 2017 will bring on in regards to that. I am hoping for some cool new stuff in that department, as there seems to be a lot of good things about to happen.

How can you easy create a cool look for the party season?

For girls, just dress up in men’s clothes. As mentioned above, that shit is hot on almost any girl. For guys, it is a little more tricky, but for god sake, don’t dress up in women’s clothes, very few men can carry that! I usually do suit pants, black or pin-striped, with just a clean white T-shirt tucked in. A simple and semi-formal look. Put on a suit jacket, and you are all Miami Vice. Put on a college sweater, and you are all laid back.

What look will you go for this New Years Eve?

Probably the one mentioned above. If it is cold, maybe a black merino turtleneck instead of the T-shirt. Tucked in. And with a silver chain. Turtleneck and chain!

What trend do we need to look out for in 2017?

Its finally time to say goodbye to the 70´s, and then what’s more natural than to say hello to the next decade – the 80s, with everything you hated to love or loved to hate. We’ve already seen it on the catwalk. Think power shoulders, spandex leggings, mini dresses in gold, flounces, logo-tees, big earrings and belts that marks the waist. Other tendencies that will dominate 2017 are statement sleeves that’s already been in the spot light for some seasons, flower prints but with more edgy details like denim and rough leather boots. There will also be a new way of wearing layers using tulle.

What colors do you think will be trendy for 2017?

Pink will still be one of the most important colors, and it will come in a line of shades from powder pink to fuchsia – the hottest color that’s been shown by brands like Bottega Venata, Hermès, Valentino and Balenciaga.

What do you look forward to?

Big things are happening in the fashion industry these days, and it will be interesting to follow how it will develop.

Designers and fashion houses are forced to think new about production, shows, sale and markets. One of the reasons is to close the gap between retail and runway with a see now – philosophy. Its become more popular to make fashion for the future regarding people, animals and the environment as the consumers is becoming more demanding as well.

It will also be interesting to see who will join the line of designer exits – and not least who will be taking over. Anthony Vaccarellos Saint Laurent-debut is for example to die for.

Back home it will be interesting to follow what will happen with Oslo Runway – they need financial support to continue going, and its time that the politicians open their eyes for the opportunities that lies within Norwegian fashion. We finally got a serious and more sharpened Norwegian fashion week that are backed up by the designers, buyers and the fashion press.

How can you easy create a cool look for the party season?

This season is all about bringing sexy back. Take a jump start at the 80s with power shoulders on the party dress or the blazer. Its feminine and sexy, not to mention perfect if your not the type that don’t prefer dresses. Except from that velvet and lacquer is one of the seasons biggest trends. The same goes for sequins and the seasons must have- thigh high boots. The beauty trend is still the perfect skin and smoky eyes is the make-ups LBD. If you think black becomes to much, you can try this seasons trend color red, like from Chanel.

What look will you go for this New Years Eve?

I loved Anthony Vaccarellos Saint Laurent- debut – he really hits the SS17s big 80’s trend. In some way he established the standard for SS17, but there is nothing that says you already now can get inspired by leather dresses, power shoulders, smoking jackets and leopard prints. And least not to mention black, black, black – that’s just how I want to enter the new year – like an 80’s power babe!

What trend do we need to look out for in 2017?

There is a craving for a more personal and authentic style, that includes both fashion and interior decorating. Li Edelkoort predicts a more flamboyant and colorful approach to fashion, and I agree with her on that - more playful and relaxed. The fascination with old is also interesting, and several of the people that I find inspiring today are over 70.

What colors do you think will be trendy for 2017?

The by far most important long term color trend, is the slow decline of black (which have had an insane 60 year- long trend wave) paired with the return of brown, which is very visible in both FW and SS collections. I find the reddish browns the most interesting, as they’re easy to succeed with. It makes almost everyone look fantastic, enhances all eye colors and most skin tones. We’re also seeing the return of an old and familiar so called “neutral”. Other than that, almost every color is fair game. The biggest trend is making your own interpretation and not following the hot and not-lists (as well as it-colors).

What do you look forward to?

I look forward to more playfulness, experimentation, mixing of prints, fun shoes and interesting and complex color combos.

How can you easy create a cool look for the party season?

I like a kind of a casual, but overdressed look. A mix of vintage and new. Usually, my go to look is a dress in a bright color or pattern paired with a belt and some fun shoes. I’m pretty much overdressed most of the time, so moving into the party season feels pretty seamless. This season I’ll probably go for a mix of velvet and chiffon, bright yellows, deep emerald greens and red (a wardrobe staple).

What look will you go for this New Years Eve?

Well, I’m going to a really small event that I think is going to be pretty fun. I am planning on wearing a taffeta silk gown that has the Lake Como painted on it, paired with gold heels and my plum colored lambskin coat. The dress is a little crazy, but very, very me.
