For this AW16 collection Maikel Tawadros went dark and explores the dimentions of traditional tailoring. Tailored tops, fitted blazers and tall constructed leather coats, it all looks perfect all the way to the fingertips. Fabrics such as denim, flecked wool, lush velvet, leather and fox fur in green mixed with metal details and see though materials makes it all luxurious yet laid back and cool.
We love the dark and mysterious way Tawadros choose for this collection, and the way all of the garments brought out the best features for each model.
– It is good that there is some contrast to certain commercial shows, while some designers been getting criticism for backing out of Copenhagen Fashion Week. Mailkel Tawadros AW16 was yesterdays highlight with the model Vincent Beier in his right element. An amazing show with edge, gothic, androgynous styling, transparent fabrics and only one color creating contrast – red lips, says Celine Aagaard.
