Tell us The idea Of The Jewellery Room
- The idea behind The Jewellery Room was to create more noise around Scandinavian jewellery design and to build a bridge between fashion and jewellery.
Why should we wear Scandinavian jewellery?
- Scandinavian jewellery is unpretentious yet very significant, weather you look at fashion or fine jewellery brands, we have a talent for design that can be worn by any women and at anytime.
Any new Scandinavian upcoming jewellery designers This season?
- We always strive to find new brands that have something different to offer, and a few examples could be Danish Lei Foo, who has a cool and contemporary expression, NordByThomsen with her creative and artistic twist, or Swedish Patrik Hansson Jewellery with his minimalistic and cubist approach to fine jewellery.
When did your passion for jewellery start?
- I had the pleasure of working for fine jewellery brand OLE LYNGGAARD COPENHAGEN for many years. I believe this was here I really understood to quality of natures, wonders and great design.
Do you remember Your first necklace?
Yes! My sister and I got a 24 carat gold necklace from our parents, when we were kids. We lived in Kuwai and this very special piece with our names in Arabic was given to us at age 3 and 5 and is something that we have both worn ever since This is a great example of the memories and stories jewellery can carry. This necklace carries our story.
How do you style /stack your jewellery?
I mix as much as possible, white gold, yellow gold, rose gold or silver, with or with our diamonds or gemstones. And I style very much after my mood. Sometimes very simple- other times more wild.
Gold, silver or rosegold? All mixed.
What jewellery trends do you believe in for the new year?
Generally we see a lot of colours, coloured diamonds and coloured gemstones. We also see the mix of metals, as mentioned, and necklaces styled close up in the neck. Chockers, and short necklaces are back.
Jewellery Forecast:
Generally we see more and more jewellery on the fashion scene, all the Couture and High Luxury brands are extending their jewellery collections. We see tendencies that many parts of the jewellery business is in growth, even fine jewellery is expanding across further boarders.
