Where are you Based? I’m french, based in Paris.
What do you look for In a good picture: I don’t know before I shoot it, it’s a moment that concentrate everything the person I’m taking of is. it’s many things, the hand gesture, a smile, a laugh the way that person is walking. Its the moment i fall in love with and what I see. Feelings define a picture i have to take, a good picture for me.
Favorite People to photograph right now? Gilda Ambrosio, Lolita Jacobs, Giovanna Battaglia, Dilletta Bonaiuti, Sam Lambert & Shaka Maidoh from ACF, Caroline Brasch, Hanne Gaby Odiele, Sofia Sanchez Barrenchea, Soo Joo Park, Pernille Teisbaek. They are so many. I only shoot my personal favorites.
In what way do you think Scandinavia and Scandinavian girls are interesting? 1. Scandinavian girls are amazingly beautiful, healthy, cool. 2 They have that effortless way of dressing that make fashion look so easy to approach. 3- they know how to enjoy life, did I say I love them already? ok yes!
Do Scandi People dress different? Yes, for sure. Their clothes look so chill on them, very comfy and very sophisticate ah the same time.
Any tip for an unknown person to get the photographers attention during fashion week? There is honestly no tips; we just have to be at the same place. Then if I like that person, she or he will get 200/100 of my attention. Like I said before, its all about what I love, feelings. Its not because that person is wearing some hi fashion brands that it is going to affect me. Its who you are and how the way you are affect me.
What makes a good picture and what makes not? Its a magic moment, I dont really know and I dont think There are any standards. Of course there is the technic, the taste the Photographer have and his knowledge of fashion. Its very subjective. I can love a style and you can "hate" it.
When did you start to shoot fashion? 5 years ago. I was in Paris taking candid pictures as usual; at Bercy. When hundreds of people started to pass in front of me, all really well dressed. Most of them wearing leather, black. I start naturally to follow them and to take their pictures. I understood it was fashionweek and that a show was about to start. I dont know why, but the personne from press agency that was supposed to check people names before letting them going in, asked me"do you want to see the show?. I was so surprise. I saw the show, really loved taking pictures. That was the exact day I started shooting fashion. It was a Rick Owens show.
What is style for you? For me style is the way you want people to perceive you in society. The way you express your self. Its a beautiful communication tool.
You shoot for Vogue - for how long have you been shooting for them? I just started, it was my first work for them (during Copenhagen red.anm). I hope that I will often work for them now.
Whats your highlight in your carrier? My highlight, everyday is a highlight. And when every people telling me they are inspired by my pictures.
