Tell us a little bit about yourself - I´m currently a law student at the University of Oslo. I´m 25 years old and I´m born and raised in Oslo. My father introduced me to the fashion industry from a young age, and I´ve been a fashion addict since I can remember.
Your style is unique, what is style to you? First of all, thank you! Style to me is supposed to be about having fun and expressing a side of you that you´re not able to express verbally. I´ve always had a very artistic side, but I can´t paint or draw, I can´t sing and I´m unable to play any instrument (believe me, I´ve tried.), so fashion and the way I dress up is where I´m able channel my artistic side.
Do you have any style icons? Oh I have plenty. I always say this but Gilda Ambrosio and Giorgia Tordini are my top two favorites right now. The Italian cool vibe they bring to every outfit is very inspiring. Also, Olivia Palermo is one of my all time favorites. I got so obsessed with her when “The City” first came out. I was in high school and remember I just wanted to be as effortlessly chic and elegant as her. Bella Hadid inspires me as well, especially when I´m in a more edgy mood. I´ve had a massive girl crush on her for some years now, I can´t even tell how many outfits of her I´ve tried to copy. Her stylist, Elizabeth Sulcer, is a genius! If I were to name a few more it would be Valentina Muntoni, Natalia Vodianova, Maria Grazia Chiuri and my dear friend Lara de Rosa.
What do you think about when you go shopping? I usually switch between two “modes”. It all depends on if I am looking for something that I have perfectly pictured in my head or not. If not, I just love to walk around and get inspired by my surroundings. If I find something I like, I try to quickly go through my own closet and see if I have anything it will go with. I´ve heard from some of my friends that I can be a very efficient and determined shopper. When I enter a store, I scan it and within 10 seconds I can tell if I´m interested in looking through it or not. When I shop online, I usually have something in mind, and I won´t quit before I´m able to find it.
What’s next on your shopping list? I actually have a wish list on my phone, and right now nr. 1 is a vintage monogram printed Fendi skirt I found eBay. Second is a beautiful broderie lace- up corset dress from Daisy and a long, pink silk dress from Rat and Boa. Third is a pair of black sunglasses from mango. I´ve also been obsessing over triple s Balenciaga sneakers in white, but they are impossible to find anywhere.
What’s one thing you think everyone should have in their closet? Everyone should have good quality basics in their clostes. I get mine from Julie Josephine. It's a Norwegian based brand and I have grown very found of their t-shirts and shirts. I love the fit and feel of her garments.
What’s one thing you’ll be wearing more of in 2018? In 2018 I will try to wear skirts and dresses more as everyday- wear. Whenever I do I feel much more feminine, and I love that feeling. I´ve always been a girly- girl.
Picture this; you’re Going out with your friends but you feel like you’ve got nothing to wear - What do you put on to feel good? Heels! Some additional height always makes me feel good! I heard a quote in a movie once, I think it was “In her shoes”, that no matter what and how you´re feeling that day, your shoes will always fit you. Also an all- black outfit paired with some large sparkly earrings and memos African leather perfume have saved me numerous of times. I like to wear clothes that I´m able to dance and have fun in, especially if I´m going out with my friends.
What’s your beauty routine and your favorite products? My all time favorite products is from the Norwegian brand Elixir Cosmeceutials. I was introduced to them by my mother when I was about 19, her best friend is one of the founders, and I have been mainly using their products ever since. They’re honestly the best, and their products will always be a part of my beauty routine. The ultradefence repair gel and the elixir normalizer are my go tos, and if I ever break out, the sulfactil is the only thing you´ll need to beat those suckers. I´m a makeup enthusiast and I tend to use a lot of it. My makeup is mainly from Charlotte Tilbury, Dior and Mac. I always make sure to remove it before I go to bed, and I use Elixirs Gentle cleanser and warm water, simple as that.
I´m a beauty product addict, so I like to try new things as well as sticking to Elixir. Lately I´ve got my hands one some of Glossiers products. Their perfume “Glossier you” and their invisible shield sunscreen is amazing. They are with me where ever I go. I also just discovered a scrub from nip+fab, it is by far the best facial scrub I have ever tried. I have this habit where I go in to drug stores whenever I´m traveling, and just buy random products that are cheap and smells nice. That’s how I discovered the nip+fab scrub. It leaves you with the softest and smoothest skin ever.
