Mardou & Dean Souterrain SS18 is presented in a gallery space with the floor covered in cardboard as an act of "just unwrapped art". The collection features two anonymous individuals: masked to keep focus on the clothes on display; dressed and styled to give illusions about textures, layers and new forms.
"With this collection my starting point was optical illusions. I saw some prints that made me want to explore this further and add optical prints to unexpected materials. The result is that people think they know what they are looking at while they actually don't, and that they re-experience the clothes the 2nd and 3rd time they see them." - Ingrid Bredholt, creative director
